The website owner would not want a company that included wild claims in its advertising. The users of the internet tend to frown on the posting of wild claims. Such a posting normally leads to the appearance of a flame, a message that disparages the wild claims in a previously-posted ad.

The website owner should shy-away from promotion services that use outright lies in order to promote a website. Such techniques could put a frightening label on the offensive website.

The website owner would also not want his or her website associated with the distribution of spam. A reputable web promotion service does not send out e-mail messages to random internet users. There is nothing "written in stone" when a website owner decides to try a web promotion service. If that service proves unsatisfactory, then the website owner can get a new service. The website owner should not feel obligated to any special website promotion company.

The website owner would again look at a number of different online marketing companies. Following testing, then the website owner should be able to locate the companies that appear most ready to handle the website's needs. Eventually, the website owner should be able to select a new, and hopefully a better, website promotion company.
