Advertising Online Effectively

All of these trends for advertising online are based on different strategies and schemes. Each one of them is focused on determined markets and situations.
As in war, no serious online marketing campaign uses one type of weapon. It needs to combine an adequate series of tools and resources for achieving victory.

One of these tools is behavioral advertising, which is expected to increase 65 percent for this year, according to iMedia Communications. But what is it? Behavioral advertising is an advertising tool that targets a user in accord to his previous preferences when navigating the web.

Pay per call (PPC) advertising is another kind of tool, in which an advertiser pays a fee for each client that makes a call to an advertised number. Once it has taken note of the call, the central reroutes the call to the company's actual phone.

Another tool is interactive rich media advertising. The main difference between this tool and a common ad is that it gives to the customer a series of options. For example, printing a brochure or choosing one of many choices. The main objective of this tool is to enable interaction with the consumer. This has two benefits. One: the consumer won't view it as an impersonal ad, but as something that responds to his needs (perfect for niche markets). The second one is that the advertiser can place more detailed content on his products. In the end, both the seller and the buyer are benefited from the exchange.

Although sometimes they are confused with interactive rich media advertising, click-to-pay video ads are quite different. The intention of this product is that the each time a user looks at a video ad; the seller will pay for it. It's quite convenient because the company can learn how effective their video ad is.

Finally, there are personalized ads, designed for determined groups of people based on their navigation record. The only problem with this is that it has faced some problems in the past.

Internet advertising will continue to evolve as the mother of all nets continues its advance. We only need to see how the internet has started to change from the Web1.0 to the Web2.0. This concept, which was popularized by O'Reilly Media and MediaLive International, marks the beginning of a series of advanced services that empower the users. And that includes internet advertising. Even free online advertising will start to offer services that in the past were charged for. In the end, internet advertising trends aren't only a product of technology. They also include what people want.
